We are an Australian couple (Ralph Baer and Sandra Carter) who have lived in several countries including Australia, Switzerland, the UK, and Abu Dhabi in the UAE. We have chosen to settle in France and in particular in one of the most stunning countrysides we have seen anywhere.
We’re in a peaceful rural area about 40 mins from either Brive-la-Gaillard or Limoges, an area replete with gorgeous villages and towns, it’s easy to get to, it has lots of activities, attractions and sights for the whole family. It has legendary food and wine (it sits midway between Burgundy to the East and Bordeaux to the west).
Our place is an ancient old stone barn expertly renovated by the former owners and provides a wonderful place to relax by the pool and a base to explore both the Dordogne and Corrèze or further afield. See a video of the house here:
